Purchased Price: More than anyone should pay on eBay Also, in this alternate General Mills universe, the oat pieces are the Lucky Charms and Trix is a brand of rabbit food. However, if you want to make it somewhat interesting, you could pretend to live in an alternate General Mills universe where square Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Chocolate Toast Crunch don’t exist, but Cinnamon Toast Crunch Churros and Cinnamon Toast Crunch Chocolate Churros do. Kind of a letdown, but I’m not disappointed filling a bowl with it because it’s a solid cereal. I know what some of you are thinking, “So this is pretty much Chocolate Toast Crunch, but in tiny churro form?” Pretty much. Speaking of milk, if you happen to leave the cereal in it for a decent amount of time, the aftermilk is ex-cinna-llent. While I prefer the original square-shaped Chocolate Toast Crunch a smidge, the churro shape helps maintain a crunchiness level in milk that the squares can only dream of. Maybe it’s surface area? Or perhaps it’s the way the nooks and crannies capture milk? I dunno. However, there’s something about the churros shape that makes them less satisfying than Chocolate Toast Crunch’s square pieces, which I also thought with the regular cinnamon version. While I wish there was a stronger chocolate punch, this is an excellent and tasty follow-up to the original Cinnamon Toast Crunch Churros Cereal. With most spoonfuls, I taste the warm spice more than the cocoa. But it’s more of a 40-60 split between the chocolate and cinnamon. With a description that includes the words “a hint of cinnamon,” you might think this is chocolate-forward. This shouldn’t be confused with Chocolate Toast Crunch, which is naturally flavored chocolate sweetened wheat and rice squares with a hint of cinnamon. If you read the print on the box’s front, you’ll know that EVERYTHING is enlarged to show detail and the cereal is naturally flavored chocolate sweetened wheat and rice cereal with a hint of cinnamon. Churros have provided me with many memories.Ī large number of those involve eating churros at a carnival, hopping on amusement rides with names like Zipper, Top Spin, Orbiter, Gravitron, and Fireball during digestion of those churros, then preventing churro regurgitation while being flipped and spun on those rides, and then regretting the carnival churro consumption.īut I also have good churro memories, and the latest is Cinnamon Toast Crunch Chocolate Churros, which I will not refer to as CTCCC (pronounced see-tee-seeeeeeeeeeee).

It’s hard to tell what you’re meant to be doing, and if just one or two people decide to be selfish you can bet that you’re going to fail the day. And that’s not really fair considering they’re probably just as confused as you are. The concept is pretty fun, but in practice just mostly involves yelling at your friends. The Devil and the Details is fast-paced, hectic and confusing at best. There are also special tasks that give the entire family bonus points. You see, players can be selfish and complete selfish tasks to earn themselves bonus points. There are even more rules put in place to make things difficult. Your goal is to make it through an entire week. At the end of the day, if your family doesn’t reach a specific score you fail and have to start over. The other player grabs those items from the correct place. When you go to the grocery store for example, one player has a list of all the ingredients you need to pick up. What’s the catch? Some of the tasks require you to work together with your family members to complete them. Go shopping, clearing clutter off of your counters and making dinner are just some of the many, many tasks you’ll have to try and complete. You’re tasked with completing every day chores that humans do every day. You are each a member of a family of devils who have just begun their lives on the surface of Earth. The Devil and the Details involves co-operating (or not co-operating) with all of the other players. Outside of Quiplash 3, the other four games in The Jackbox Party Pack 7 are brand new to the series. I’d like to see more content from games like Patently Stupid from Jackbox 5. While it’s usually a party favourite, after three iterations it feels a bit stale in comparison to some of the other top hits. Quiplash has remained mostly the same since it was first included in the The Jackbox Party Pack 2. My first prompt during the final round was, “3 different items that are in your Aunt’s bathroom right now.” You pick your three responses (sticky 5-year-old magazines, a “Live Laugh Love” sign, and enough toilet paper to get you through the apocalypse) and everyone votes for their favourites. Unique to Quiplash 3 is that, in the final round, players must write three separate answers to the same prompt. Perhaps “Butt Stuff” gets a few more likes then “Peanut Butter and Bacon.” The player with the most votes gets the points and play continues. The other players then vote on which prompt they like the best. In the game, players are given prompts like, “The name of a perfect perfume for dogs” and two players try to create a funny answer to the prompt. Returning yet again to The Jackbox Party Pack is Quiplash 3. Let’s dive in and talk about each one a little bit more. Unfortunately, this time around, only one truly impresses. It has become normal to expect that only two or three of the Party Pack games will be worth playing. The most recent iteration of the series, The Jackbox Party Pack 7, includes Quiplash 3, The Devil and the Details, Champ’d Up, Talking Points and Blather Round. The games might involve answering trivia questions, tricking your friends somehow, drawing on your phones or tonnes of other activities that almost always result in uproarious laughter. Most of the time, they’re easy to learn which makes them great for a big group of people. This means that whoever you invite over will probably already have everything they need to play.Įach Jackbox Party Pack includes five separate games with their own rules and game mechanics. The best part is that all of the games are playable on a smartphone or computer. It’s an easy way to keep everyone entertained without the hassle of pulling out board games or controllers. Over the last few years The Jackbox Party Pack series has been a staple when I have friends over. When Jackbox loads onto your screen, you know it’s about to be a party. There is ample evidence that the world remains a dangerous place and that kidnapping and extortion demands can victimize individuals and organizations in almost any country. As of mid-July there were no reports of his whereabouts. To plan the stowing the following parameters are essential: Planners use ports of call and vessel schedule to adjust vessel's route in the planning program. In order to stow the cargo on a vessel, planners have specific computer programs to aid them. In the example image the position coordinates of the containers are: On a stowage plan their positions are identified by a six-digit coordinate number: Bay-Bay-Row-Row-Tier-Tier. Container slot, position or cell – names of the spaces that containers can be loaded in.If the bay number is odd it is suitable for 20 feet containers, if the bay number is even it is suitable for 40 feet containers. Bay – a space on the ship that can hold containers, container ships have several bays, these bays are divided into two parts: on-deck and under-deck (hold). The tiers are the layers of containers, numbered from the bottom and up. The rows run the length of the ship and are numbered from the middle of the ship outwards, even numbers on the port side and odd numbers on the starboard side. The bays illustrate the cross sections of the ship and are numbered from bow to stern. On container ships the position of containers are identified by a bay-row-tier coordinate system. Six digit code represents a precise volume of the ship. Stowage terms īay-Row-Tier stowage system for container ships. The cargo hold and on-deck are the spaces where the cargo, stored in containers, is kept. Engine room, the space which the engine and machines can be served, maintained.Bridge, the command center of the ship, the space which contains steering wheel, telegraph, radars, ECDIS, charts for navigation and publications.Accommodation, the space which contains all crew cabins.40 feet container size is: 40 ft (12 m) length by 8 ft (2.4 m) width by 8.6 ft (2.6 m) height.Ĭontainer vessels are built to contain as many containers as possible, accordingly the vessels are divided into sections:.The fixed exterior dimension of the standard size boxes are: There are also containers with an extent in height called "High Cube" containers. The most common and noted type of containers are the 20 feet and 40 feet containers. One such system of programs is the MACS3, Cloud CASP, CASP. Modern stowage plans are executed by computer programs using mathematical calculations similar to those used for solving complicated Tetris problems. The plans are also vital for safety on board the ship and it is recommended that personnel working on ships are familiar with them. That said, because the phosphoramidite approach has been inexpensive and efficient, it has been central to SynBio for decades.Īnalyzing nature, researchers recently discovered another SynBio solution-enzymatic DNA synthesis. Phosphoramidite also causes hazardous byproducts. Oligos longer than 300 base pairs (bps), for example, tend to be error-prone. Since 1981, chemists have synthesized DNA with phosphoramidite, an efficient approach but one with several drawbacks. Diagnosticians use synthetic oligos, for example, to calibrate and verify the performance of both PCR and sequencing-based tests for COVID-19. Central to SynBio is the ability to assemble DNA from its four canonical bases (A, T, G, and C), creating oligonucleotides or ‘oligos’, for many healthcare applications. Synthetic biology (SynBio) is a rapidly growing field of science that engineers organisms and biomolecules with novel properties not found in nature. Last week, for example, EDM music producer 3LAU sold 33 unique tokens for more than $11.6 million, the NFTs redeemable for “special edition vinyl, unreleased music, and special experiences.”ĪRK believes that NFTs will unlock more value for content creators than any platform in history. By contrast, digital creators can monetize their followers directly with NFTs, selling unique digital content without intermediaries. These centralized platforms then monetize the content with ads or subscriptions, paying content creators a percentage of the profits. Today, to monetize digital content, content creators can upload it to Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Spotify, and other social networks. One of the first implementations of this standard was the digital collectible game, CryptoKitties, which allowed players to purchase, collect, breed, and sell virtual cats. Since then, NFTs have evolved to include digital real estate, video game items, digital art, and music.ĭespite its rapid growth recently, we believe NFT use is nascent. In August 2017, NFTs debuted on the Ethereum Network with the ERC-721 token standard. Unlike interchangeable units like bitcoin, an NFT is a unique asset. At an average subscription fee of $13 per month, therefore, TIDAL had roughly 1.6 million subscribers in 2019.Ī non-fungible token, or NFT, is a cryptographic asset that represents digital uniqueness. *TIDAL’s parent company disclosed subscription revenue of $166 million in 2019. Ultimately, the partnership could reinvigorate TIDAL’s original mission, giving artists the opportunity to build relationships with fans by offering exclusive content.Ĭonsistent with Taylor Swift’s belief that music is rare and valuable, Square’s deep crypto expertise could enable TIDAL artists to sell non-fungible tokens (NFT), a topic we discuss below. Perhaps more important, Square and TIDAL together could disintermediate record labels by offering artists loans backed by the cash flows associated with their streaming revenue, much like Square underwrites business loans based on merchant cash flows. Leveraging learnings from its partnership with Spotify, Cash App could enable TIDAL artists to sell merchandise powered by Square eCommerce, increasing both the engagement and reach of both platforms. Cash App’s partnerships with musicians have integrated it into urban culture, accelerating the digital wallet’s growth. Why did Square acquire TIDAL? In our view, the partnership is a more natural fit for Cash App than most observers might expect. Today, the streaming service seems to serve only 1 million users,* down from 3 million in 2016 and a fraction of Spotify’s and Apple Music’s 155 million and 60 million premium subscribers, respectively. In 2019, even Jay-Z seemed to reject TIDAL’s value proposition when he offered his music catalogue to competitor Spotify. Unfortunately, TIDAL did not live up to high expectations and faced criticism focused on artist compensation and inflated user numbers. In 2014, Taylor Swift criticized music streaming in a Wall Street Journal op-ed stating, “Music is art, and art is important ” and that “valuable things should be paid for.” Jay-Z was not alone in his concern that technology was diluting the value of music by offering it for free. TIDAL attracted high-profile artists to take ownership positions in the platform and market to their fans paid subscription tiers for exclusive content and high-quality streaming. In 2015, Jay-Z acquired the struggling music streaming service for $56.2 million out of frustration that “ people are not respecting” music. Last week, many investors wondered why Square announced a $297 million deal for a majority stake in TIDAL. To sum everything up, taurine is an amino acid that dogs naturally produce and is one of 12 amino acids classified as “non-essential”.įor this reason, you won’t find it in every type of dog food as its inclusion is not an AAFCO requirement, but there’s nothing wrong with giving your dog a bit of a taurine boost by including quality meat proteins in their diet or choosing dog foods with taurine added. This is because your vet can help you determine whether or not your dog actually needs taurine supplements or if there are any other deficiencies present that need treatment. If you’re considering taurine supplements-or any supplements-we recommend running it by your vet first. These include shellfish, fish, poultry, and red meat. To do this, you could look into quality dog food brands that contain taurine or, if you prepare your own dog food at home, check out protein sources that naturally contain taurine. So, adding taurine to dog food may help prevent taurine deficiency and related conditions like heart problems, eye problems, and crystals in the urine. Dilated Cardiomyopathy is a condition that causes the heart chambers to enlarge and the cardiac muscles to thin. The reason why some dog food manufacturers add taurine to their products is that taurine deficiency has been linked to heart problems and other conditions in dogs, specifically Dilated Cardiomyopathy. Image Credit: Ayla Verschueren, Unsplash Is Extra Taurine Beneficial for Dogs? Though not a requirement for dogs, the inclusion of taurine in food is a requirement for cats as they can’t make it naturally. 10 amino acids are listed as “essential” for dogs, and 12 are listed as “non-essential.” Taurine is classified as “non-essential”, which means it doesn’t necessarily have to be supplemented via dog food or special supplements. Non-essential amino acids, by contrast, are amino acids that your dog’s body naturally makes. Amino acids are separated into two categories-essential and non-essential.Įssential amino acids are those that must be given to your dog via dog food or supplements because their bodies can’t make them on their own. Taurine can be found in the muscles, brain, eyes, and other organs, and makes up one of 22 amino acids that dogs need and either produce naturally or need to be provided with. Amino acids are known as the foundations or “building blocks” of proteins. Taurine is an amino acid that most animals naturally produce, including dogs. In this post, we’ll explain exactly what taurine is, why some dog food manufacturers add it to dog food and discuss whether or not it’s beneficial for dogs’ health. Though the addition of taurine to dog food is not essential as per the American Association of Feed Control’s (AAFCO) guidelines, some dog food companies choose to add it as a supplement. In short, taurine is an amino acid found in meat. If you’ve spotted taurine listed on your dog food’s nutritional label, you may be wondering what it is and if it’s something dogs need in their diet. All of our dog food recipes now include this supplement and you can feel confident knowing your dog is getting the recommended level of taurine to ensure heart health. The information is current and up-to-date in accordance with the latest veterinarian research. However, it does appear that certain breeds have varying degrees of either making or absorbing taurine (including one of the most popular breeds in the US, the Golden Retriever).Īs of early 2019, we began adding a human grade taurine supplement to further boost the naturally existing taurine levels already present in our recipes. Historically, taurine was not supplemented in canine diets, as dogs are able to make their own (as long as the recipe contains the minimum AAFCO recommended levels of cysteine and methionine). The Honest Kitchen’s recipes are naturally high in the amino acid, taurine, thanks to our high-quality meat ingredients and gentle production methods. The amino acid Taurine is vital for heart health and is naturally present in meat and fish, especially organs. Ready to buy the Bogle Phantom Red Blend? Check your local retailers.
